America has a well-established history of protecting consumers from anti-competitive practices in the marketplace.  Unfortunately, at the same time prices for gas, food and other essentials are skyrocketing, some in Congress are working to give certain independent pharmacies free reign to increase your prescription prices.

H.R. 1204 would exempt certain independent pharmacies from 100-year-old federal and state antitrust laws and allow them to engage in collusion, boycotts, and price-fixing all in the name of extracting higher prices without a promise of increased consumer or economic quality.  This legislation is the wrong prescription for America!

Antitrust laws are designed to protect consumers from the harm caused by these anti-competitive behaviors.  If this exemption becomes law, costs to consumers, payers and Medicare would increase by nearly $30 billion over the next five years.
